This is the story of SGT Michael Goss. He is living with post dramatic stress disorder. He cant sleep at night. He gets anxiety attacks and his marriage is going through war as well.
Why? Not only because he killed an innocent 8 year old but also maybe because he killed himself. His soul.
He most probably started to suppress his feelings when they told him that it is fine. That everything will be sorted out afterwards.

Because we suppress our feelings and kill ourselves
Just perhaps…
